What is a short code?
Short codes are 4, 5, 6,7 and 8 digit numbers that allow mobile messaging
software to work with all cell phone companies. They are short and easy phone
numbers that allow customers to enroll.
What is a keyword?
Keywords are used to identify a business (or a specific category for that
business) when used with our short code / long code. You text a specific keyword
to short code / long code to "opt-in" and allow our partners to send text
messages and special offers direct to you and others who have also opted in -
all at the same time.
How does a business or organization use mobile marketing to advertise
and promote to, or communicate with their customers or database?
* A business would simply invite customers, and prospective customers, to "opt-in
" and receive communication and/or promotions or offers via text messages on
their cell phone. Several effective methods are available to invite people to
opt-in using signage, mail, email, social media, print, radio, TV or website
campaigns. Those who see or hear the invite will simply text the KEYWORD for
that business or organization to and as a result, build an opt-in database of
people who are interested in receiving text messages from their chosen
businesses or organization right to their cell phone.
* This allows the business (or any entity) to have instant and real-time
communication with those who have opted in, by simply sending a text message to
potentially hundreds or thousands at one time with a specific offer, promotion,
discount or important message.

How do I opt-out or unsubscribe once enrolled?
Simply reply 'stop' to any message received on the keyword channel you opted
into. You will receive an immediate text alert confirming you have successfully
opted out.
Are keywords case-sensitive?
Keywords are not case-sensitive, just type and send!
Do you use my personal information for any other purpose?
Absolutely not! When you "opt-in" for messages from a specific business or
entity, the text messages you receive will come only from them, exclusively. We
will not use, nor make your personal information or cell phone number available,
for any other purpose.
What if the keyword I requested is already taken?
If the requested keyword is not available then you have to choose the available
keyword which is more relevant to your organization.
Can I edit my Keyword after it is saved?
No, saved keyword cannot be edited
What happens when I delete a Keyword?
Keyword and the campaign associated with the keyword, SMS history and reports
will be deleted.
What is the Reports feature?
The reports feature provides a more detailed summary of messaging and subscriber
data.
What is the Subscriber List report?
The subscriber list will display a report of all subscribers listed within the
specified date range.
What is Messages Sent report?
Clicking Messages Sent will display a report of all messages sent within the
specified date range.
What is Inbound Messages report?
Inbound Messages" will display a report of any conversations via your Inbox.
How long will the system takes to deliver the messages?
Normally it takes less than a second but it depends upon the network operator.
Are APIs available for m-REACH services?
Yes APIs are available. You can find the developer APIs in developers section.
What is a Service Plan?
Service plan is a group or a single service associated with several features.
The user has to buy a appropriate plan to use Mreach services. The user can
startup with a Free Trial Account comes with basic features and 5 free credits
which is valid for a month.
Example for service plan: MT package, Mobile coupon package.
What is the difference between SMS & GPRS Appointments?
Customer requests for an appointment through SMS appointments while in GPRS
appointments customer can book the appointment on demand through WAP page or
mobile application.
What is a Business Template?
Business template is necessary when the user wants to send same static
information to the contacts periodically or to send dynamic information based
on customer request.
What is an Ad-hoc group?
A list of contacts which is extracted from an external database using SQL
queries.
Can I send unique coupon to each customer?
Yes, you can send unique coupon to each customer.
What is the difference between shared coupon and coupon?
Only one coupon can be associated with a keyword in coupon while in shared
coupon multiple coupons can be associated with a single keyword using sub
keywords.
Do you help us in mobile marketing?
No
Do you provide mobile numbers geographically for mobile marketing?

Currently how many countries do you support?
You can find the list of supported countries in coverage list.
Is there any validity for service plans?
Yes normally validity is 30 days but the validity differs from one service plan
to the other.
How can I purchase m-REACH service credits?
You can purchase service credits online by credit card, wire transfer and
through offline by cheque and demand draft.
How will I know my credit status?
Once you login in the portal you can view the credit status in view your service
credits.
What is a Long Code?
If you want to receive SMS from your customers you need a keyword in a shared
long code or a dedicated long code. The customers can text to the long code
with the appropriate keywords which will be seen in your inbox.
How do I buy a Long Code?
Call or email m-REACH sales to buy a Long Code.
Can I buy more than one Long Code?
Yes
